the sweet, caring child

Aru is a loving, sweet young girl. She travels with the group of orphans.

Aru's background is never explored in Nabi but there is a little short story in Nabi -the Prototype-. But I don't know how much is linked between them. However, I will base her background from there.

Aru was found by Ryu-Sang and Myo-Un who were sent on a mission by Lady Seong Howori (the orphan's Sabu-Nim - teacher in Korean), when Aru's father sent a letter to Lady Seong Howori. Aru's father was always sick and a talented poet - and ultimately realised that he was going to die and sent Aru under the care of Lady Seong Howori. Aru's mother passed away years ago.

She has a strong bond between Myo-Un and Ryu-Sang and to her, they are like her parents. She admires Myo-Un a lot and hopes to 'grow up as pretty as her'. Ryu-Sang scaried her at first with his mean nature but she then realises that it was just a facade and begins to love him as if he is her father/brother.

As the youngest in the group, Aru has received no training in swordmanship, along with Myo-Un who refused the training when she was young. However, just as Myo-Un plays a mothering and caring role in the group, Aru also contributes to the group. Personally, I feel like the is the 'glue' of the group. She holds them together with her easy-going, naive nature.
